Summer for Ellie kicked off on June 6th. It was bittersweet as we LOVED Ellie’s teachers through California Virtual Academy. We will really miss having their kind presence, albeit virtually, on weekday mornings.
We started the celebrations with a stop at Hardester’s for doughnuts and balloons…some of Ellie’s favorites.

Followed by the online end of year celebration/“graduation.” On to first grade come mid August!

And “fishing” at the creek.

Later in the day we set off to the Middletown library to play and exchange our books.

And a stop at the farmer’s market for “tattoos” and bubbles.

We carried on the celebrations on Saturday with a picnic and fun at Library Park in Lakeport. The girls loved the playground, though the star of the show was scootering down the gazebo ramp.

Come Monday morning, we set off to Lancaster to help family for a bit. We broke the trip up with a stop in Santa Nella.

Though we were there for about 12 hours, the girls infused a lot of fun!
