Decemberrrrr

December was a bit chaotic. I really hope it felt festive and special for girls. George was missing for a good portion between helping family in Southern California followed immediately by storm work in ID, WA and back in CA. The girls and I hit the loomis tree lighting. The Placerville Christmas parade. And a… Continue reading Decemberrrrr

Bye, Bye November

Somehow it’s already the last day of November. We are hot off a trip to Maine to celebrate Ellie’s 7th birthday and Thanksgiving with family. This trip, our jet lag waited to catch up with us until the return trip. We’ve been waking up at 4 am since returning home 2 days ago and asleep… Continue reading Bye, Bye November

Back in the Sac Area

Our last week in Petaluma sure went quickly. We managed to pack in some fun at the KOA and downtown. The girls had been wanting to try the gem panning at the park. Ellie also had been asking to have her hair cut. She’d seen Lions & Tigers & Hair during some of our previous… Continue reading Back in the Sac Area

Halloweening 2.0

We enjoyed another weekend full of Halloween fun here at the KOA before the rain moved in…and we move out. Maeve was feeling a bit under the weather with a cold, so she stayed behind with George for some of the daytime activities to rest. He has been in a chronic sleep deficit, working crazy… Continue reading Halloweening 2.0

Halloween

This KOA really does it up for Halloween and offers multiple events every weekend in October. The girls hit nearly every event last Saturday. Starting with the pumpkin patch. Followed by pumpkin painting. A pumpkin scavenger hunt and face painting. Costume Parade. And the main event – trick or treating. The campground awards one free… Continue reading Halloween

Oroville and Back to School

About one month ago we hit the road to Oroville. A place we’ve been before. This time we opted for the RV park George stayed at during line school rather than the casino we stayed at about 3 years ago. We’re loving all the space to play. There are quite a few other line families… Continue reading Oroville and Back to School

Maeve is 3!!!

Maeve turned 3 on Monday. How is time going so fast? She’s been my little barnacle since day one and gradually over the past few weeks she’s getting more and more independent. We kicked off the celebrations on her birthday eve as that was George’s day off. He makes a point to request the girls’… Continue reading Maeve is 3!!!

Summer

Summer for Ellie kicked off on June 6th. It was bittersweet as we LOVED Ellie’s teachers through California Virtual Academy. We will really miss having their kind presence, albeit virtually, on weekday mornings. We started the celebrations with a stop at Hardester’s for doughnuts and balloons…some of Ellie’s favorites. Followed by the online end of… Continue reading Summer
