Decemberrrrr

December was a bit chaotic. I really hope it felt festive and special for girls.

George was missing for a good portion between helping family in Southern California followed immediately by storm work in ID, WA and back in CA.

Storm bag.

The girls and I hit the loomis tree lighting.

The Placerville Christmas parade.

And a local ballet’s version of the Nutcracker. We also watched a video of when Ellie was in the Nutcracker 2 years ago.

We made it to the mall to see the decorations.

And Pushkins for their delicious gingerbread men.

Ultimately, George was still on storm when Christmas morning rolled around…and we woke up to no power ha!

Yay for camper life and battery backup 🙂

The girls were outside each time the rain stopped on Christmas Day, enjoying their new bikes.

And jump ropes.

The next day, we woke up to a broken furnace. George was a trooper with all of the troubleshooting work he did when he got back from storm a few days later. It turned into a 2+ week ordeal, as the new furnace had a broken control board.

Despite the inconveniences, we are grateful we are all well and able to take things like these on. The girls’ smiles and homemade Christmas decor kept my spirits bright.

Wishing all a happy and healthy 2026!
